NEW! LITTLE YELLOW HONG KONG NOTEBOOK
“My little Yellow Hong Kong Notebook” This notebook is the ‘little Sister’ to the Red and Blue Notebooks, exactly the same format but half the size. Perfect to slip in a bag or pocket! Would make an excellent Chinese New Year Gift!
It was only a matter of time before Lorette came up with a book about boats - so here it is, in her instantly recognisable style and colours! You will find some historic references, sketches/paintings of the icons in Victoria Harbour, yachts big/small, the usual busy working vessels, many varieties of large/small river boats, many beautifully decorated ….. plus of course, the ropes, floats, fenders and anchors that are always nearby.
This book is spiced with Lorette’s hand-written notes of interesting trivia, facts discovered in her research and comments about the boats.
In common with all her books, this does not claim to be a reference tome but it is one that endeavours to conjure up memories and to trigger the imagination. For example, just what does Charlotte Dundas have to do with tugboats? and where would you put a ‘long button’? …..and, by the way, whilst floating through the pages, don’t forget to spot her little snails – one on every Page!

COLOUR HONG KONG!
Lorette E. Roberts (A4 Landscape with high quality paper). The spiral binding allows it to lie flat.
Lorette invites us to use the book as a sketchbook, scrapbook or travelogue and provides - alongside her own images - guidelines/tips on sketching.
The book is divided into sections, indicated by coloured strips on the edge of each right hand page. These sections include: Chinese New Year, Celebrations, Traditional Hong Kong, Nature (of course!) and ships.
Not just another book about Hong Kong- with its delightful and colourful sketches and paintings, it aids and abets the current craze to “colour something in”!

Sketches of Hong Kong - 2022 Calendar
Hong Kong has again inspired Lorette to do a 14th Calendar to take you through the coming year; although over the past years she has seen many changes - for example, the “Brolly Man” no longer sells his umbrella's in Mid Levels and junks are now few and far between. However, familiar images, festivals and new buildings provide a comforting continuity, evoking happy memories. Her snails are hidden in each picture - find them... and enjoy 2022!!
Calendars are 176 mm. x 216 mm. Landscape.
The Umbrella Man - Some of you may remember this craftman mending brollies in Peel Street many years ago..
Local Ferries - Each one so different yet definitely one of the best ways to commute to the outlying Islands!
Tsang Tai Uk - The picturesque walled village belonging to the Tsang family- just a step back in time and only a few minutes walk from Sha Tin Town.
M+ - Impressive Art Space in the new West Kowloon District.
Pak Tai Temple - If you saunter from Stanley you will find this ancient temple standing above the seashore.
